Alan K. Cheng

Alan K. Cheng is an Associate Portfolio Manager and a member of the Investment Committee at Contego Capital Partners, LLC. His responsibilities include investment research, due diligence and portfolio analysis.

• Prior to Contego he was an Associate with hedge fund Bridgewater Associates, focusing on quantitative portfolio optimization and trading.
• He previously traded for the specialists division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, with specific experience in large cap high-volume stocks, illiquid small caps, and NYSE-listed ADRs.
• He began his career working for Thomson Financial Corporate Group (previously named The Carson Group) in a strategic consulting role for publicly-traded biotechnology companies.
• He possesses a BA degree in Economics from the University of Virginia (1998) and is currently working on his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
